About Twin Fins
Twin Fins is a children’s book series created to help young children understand big feelings, practice kindness, and learn simple social-emotional skills they can use every day.
At the heart of the series are Finn and Flynn, two curious twin sharks navigating school, family life, friendships, and feelings in a gentle underwater world. Through their stories, children see that emotions are normal, mistakes happen, and learning takes time.
Why We Created Twin Fins
Like many parents and educators, we noticed that young children often struggle with things like:
hitting or pushing when upset
managing anger or frustration
sharing and taking turns
calming down after big emotions
We wanted stories that didn’t shame or punish but instead modeled calm, supportive guidance and taught practical tools kids could actually use.
Twin Fins was created to fill that space.
Our Approach
Each Twin Fins book:
uses simple language for ages 2–6
focuses on one clear social-emotional skill
models gentle parenting and teaching language
includes repeatable phrases children remember
works well at home and in classrooms
You’ll often hear messages like:
Big feelings are okay.
Gentle hands keep everyone safe.
We’ll help you.
For Families and Classrooms
Twin Fins books are written for:
parents and caregivers
preschool and kindergarten classrooms
therapists, counselors, and librarians
Many of our books include bonus pages with parent and teacher tips, making it easier to turn story time into meaningful conversations.
Growing With Our Readers
The Twin Fins series has grown to 14 books and is now read by families in five countries. This is a journey we’re incredibly grateful for. Every message, review, and shared story helps us create better books for little readers everywhere.
